We had the delight to help run the first workshop using Eco’s Microwave ablation catheter for điều trị giãn tĩnh mạch. This was convened at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore by our friend Chuo Ren Leong, MD senior consultant and deputy HOD for general surgery at KTPH.
We managed to demonstrate the microwave ablation technique to a bunch of enthusiastic vascular surgeons from Indonesia by performing three cases of varicose veins during Wednesday morning. Case demonstration was interspersed with helpful lectures with tips and tricks using the device by Dr Wong and Dr Dexter Chan, Consultant Vascular Surgery from KTPH. Had a fruitful morning exchanging ideas with our delightful Indonesian colleagues.
